Join us for an evening with TEDxSalem!

So you’ve been read­ing the blog, see­ing our posts on social media, our names and faces in the pages of the local news­pa­per. We’re a pret­ty cool group of peo­ple, led by two indi­vid­u­als who are fear­less in their devo­tion to mak­ing Salem bet­ter, who love to share our excite­ment about an awe­some event.

Would­n’t it be fun to hang out with us? Grab a beer? Maybe get a sneak peek at what TEDx is all about?

Mark it on your cal­en­dars now: Tues­day, August 25 at 6:00 p.m., we will be at Ven­ti’s Cafe + Tap­house in South Salem for “An evening with TEDxSalem.”

Please come and join us! A por­tion of the evening’s sales will go toward plan­ning the best pos­si­ble TEDxSalem event, which is, of course, sched­uled for Oct. 3.

Not only will you have the chance to grab some food and some beer, hang out with old friends and new friends and meet the orga­niz­ers behind TEDxSalem; we’ll also have local speak­ers giv­ing mini-TED talks in the spir­it of TEDxSalem!

Care to be one of those speak­ers? We’re still accept­ing appli­ca­tions! You can apply online here, but you’d bet­ter hur­ry. Appli­ca­tions won’t be accept­ed after August 1.

There’s no admis­sion. The fundrais­ing part of the evening comes from food and bev­er­age sales.
